Kristin Fischer will join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As an official for the Space and Defense Department she covers everything including NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space firms and space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The extensive trips she took with the President and Vice-President included an official trip to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before being hired by the CBS network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin utilized her knowledge in front of the camera to launch Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films and was a favorite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. She lives with her husband at Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
